Donnchadh is a qualified Guidance Counsellor and member of the IGC.

Donnchadh is a weekly columnist for the Irish Independent/Independent.ie. Donnchadh has done radio shows on RTE 2FM, Newstalk, Today FM, Midlands Radio 3, Northern Sound and many more. He has appeared on Ireland AM on Virgin Media on a number of occasions speaking about the Leaving Cert. He has presented the Leaving Cert Guidance Podcast as well as the ‘Going to College Podcast’ for the Irish Independent.

Donnchadh is an accomplished speaker and has been invited all around the country by different institutions to give talks on the CAO, Alternative Entry Routes, PLCs, Apprenticeships to name a few topics.

- Post Graduate Diploma in Education (UCD)
- Post Graduate Diploma in Educational Leadership (Maynooth University).
- Post Graduate Diploma in School Guidance and Counselling (Maynooth University).
- Member of the Institute of Guidance Counsellors in Ireland.
- Member of the Teaching Council of Ireland.
- Member of Psychological Society of Ireland.
Donnchadh qualified as a History, RE and English teacher from UCD in 2008. He has taught at the post-primary level since then. In 2013, Donnchadh became an Assistant Principal (Programme Coordinator). He ran the Transition Year Programme and the LCVP Progamme. In 2015, Donnchadh graduated from Maynooth University with a Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Leadership. He completed his studies at Maynooth University with a Postgraduate Diploma in School Guidance and Counselling.
In 2018, Donnchadh became the Guidance Counsellor at Loreto College, St. Stephen’s Green, an all-girls private secondary school.
Donnchadh has spent a number of years studying and teaching and has excellent experience in being aware of the challenges each student has ahead of them.
